Monolingual supplementary dictionaries
When you purchase a Clue dictionary, several monolingual dictionaries are included at no extra cost. These comprehensive dictionaries include
- Explanations that make it easy to ascertain which word best fits the context.
- Example sentences that demonstrate use of a word in practice, enabling the user to learn new words and vary the use of known words.
- Grammar such as inflected forms and parts of speech. Different spellings are also given where applicable.
Norwegian (nynorsk) dictionary
In addition, a Scandinavian dictionary for PCs can be downloaded. This dictionary translates between Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, and contains words and terms that the Nordic Council defines as difficult for Scandinavians. The dictionary is a useful tool for preventing misunderstandings between the different languages.
